I really cannot believe 2015 is just TWO days away! I feel like 2014 went by so quickly, and I didn’t even get to accomplish all the things I wanted this year. I tried to, but I felt as if it was too soon, or maybe I was just having cold-feet. I really wanted to apply and start working on getting my Master’s degree this year. I felt that since I am stay-at-home-mom it would be a perfect time to get it done. However, being a stay-at-home-mom is a 24/7 job. The only times I really get to myself is just when he’s asleep, and during those times I’ve been using it to blog. When the New Year arrives I can restart on my goals..It gives me motivation for a clean slate and a fresh start.
For this week’s Write or Die Wednesday the prompt is:
I don’t have just one specific goal that I want to accomplish. I have many..But, the problem with me is, I list down too many then it becomes too overwhelming to achieve them. So this time, I have a shorter list of goals..It may still seem pretty long, but I promise this is shorter than my last year’s goals.
1. Apply for a Masters in Public Health or Nursing program by Fall 2015– this gives me plenty of time to fully research programs, finish prerequisites, work on my essays, and letter of recommendation.
2. If I don’t enroll into a program, I need to find a full-time position and start working again by Nathan’s 3rd birthday –this year, I decided to be a SAHM to help my son grow and develop. However, I also would to focus on my career for our family’s future, and the age of 3 is a perfect time to start preschool.
3. To prepare Nathan for daycare or preschool my goals for him are to:
-Potty train him
-Teach him how to feed and dress himself
-Talk in complete sentences
These are my 3 main goals for 2015. I would really love to accomplish all of these by the end of next year. I really hope I do, and I will keep looking back on this post to put myself on check and focus on these goals.
What about you? What are you goals for 2015?

Happy New Year to you and yours, Danica! You have really wonderful goals 🙂 You are blessed in that you've been able to stay home with your son yet have your eyes set on future goals.
I stayed home with both of my girls for a total of 7 years, and I wish I would have had the foresight to plan my future a little bit better. I'll be playing 401K catch up someday when my son enters school and I go back to work 🙂
Many blessings to you and good luck with your goals for 2015!!
