Miso Glazed Salmon & Ginger Rice + Quinoa Recipe

Who else loves easy recipes? I do! I’m sharing my family’s favorite way of eating salmon! I first like grilling my salmon using the GreenPan GP5 Infinite8 Ceramic 11inch round grill pan. Make sure to get that skin extra crispy then I glaze with a homemade miso-based sauce. I also like pairing it with ginger rice & quinoa.

Miso Glazed Salmon Recipe:

  • 2-3 large Salmon fillets
  • 2 Tbsp white miso paste
  • 1 Tbsp mirin
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp roasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp brown sugar

Mix all the glaze ingredients above all together in a small bowl and set aside. Pat the salmon with paper tower & make sure it’s dry before cooking. I like letting my salmon sit in room temp before cooking to ensure an even temperature when cooking. I sprinkled a little pepper & garlic powder on the salmon too. Then using the GP5 Infinite8 Ceramic 11inch round grill pan, I added less than a tablespoon of avocado oil under medium heat. Once the pan was hot, I added the salmon – meat down first. I cooked it for about 5 min then flipped it over to the skin side. I like my skin extra crispy so I cooked it til my desired crispiness. Once you see the skin is getting crispy, add the the sweet miso glaze on top! Cook for about 2-3 min more to reduce the sauce a bit. Then that’s it!

For the ginger rice & quinoa:

  • 1 ½ cups uncooked white rice. I used jasmine rice
  • 1/2 cup uncooked quinoa
  • 1 oz ginger (preferably young ginger so it’s less spicy)
  • 1 ⅓ cups water

Seasonings:

  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp mirin

Rinsing the white rice & quinoa first, I then used the GP5 Stainless Steel 8-at Stock Pot. I mixed all the ingredients above together in the pot & cooked it in low-medium heat for about ~15 minutes.
